Not far from Frankfurt, a two hours’ drive to be precise, is Seezeitlodge hotel & spa, a four star superior hotel at Bostalsee in Saarland, where I recently treated myself to a three-day-yoga-retreat with Xenia Kaiser.
I have been knowing Xenia Kaiser for years, having participated in her power yoga classes regularly before I had children. I still visit her classes every now and then, and we even share a personal connection today. So, I was lucky enough to heave heard about her yoga retreat “Komm in deine Kraft” (“regain your strength”), and pressed the “book” button after considering the pros and cons for a while. It was in fact part of my bucket list to participate in a yoga retreat this year, and I found it very convenient that the location is pretty close to where I live.
It turned out my decision was the best I could have made, I had a wonderful stay at hotel Seezeitlodge, and two x two hour yoga and meditation per day made me feel amazing, both in my body and mind.
As for most mums of little children, the biggest gift was to have available time that I could spend with whatever I wished: reading a book, listening to a podcast, exercising at the hotel gym, relaxing at the spa (I loved the outdoor Sauna area!), walking or running around lake Bostalsee (7km), enjoying cakes and smoothies in the afternoon or just chilling in the beautiful and calm hotel room.
For those considering a stay at Seezeitlodge, I can just highly recommend the hotel! I found it had a very cosy and calm vibe, with a modern and large wellness and spa area, both breakfast and dinner were great, and my room was large, clean and cosy!
